Hey guys, I’m Allison Eden from Allison Eden Studios! I wanted to share a fun and unique story behind one of my favorite designs, the Waves Pattern. In this video, you’ll see our stunning Waves pattern in a special gold and purple colorway. Every piece is hand-cut in our studio, making each one truly unique. The inspiration for this design came from a serendipitous moment about 25 years ago. I was working on mosaics for a Serafina restaurant in New York City, having completed a large fireplace and a pizza oven. The owner loved it and asked if I could create something that looked like fire for the walls. But there was a catch – he needed it done by the next morning! With scraps of broken glass scattered on the floor, I started cutting little flames from whatever I could find. This spontaneous creation became the Waves pattern you see today, which is still proudly displayed at Serafina’s on 6th Avenue in New York City.
